So... I checked in again, and decided to write. I'm still alive! Doing very well! Long story short, I'm still playing music. I don't hate the world, and after reading all my old posts, I don't think I ever really did... It must have been a *shudder* phase. ;)

My dad fainted at work today. He's pretty sick. I don't give him too much credit most of the time, because he does a lot of weird things, but he's really wearing himself thin trying to support this family.

These rhymes can’t hold up this time.
But, these pages are hungry.
Starving lines filling with vomit I’m spilling to replace the bile that coats this book of ghosts.
Can’t think.
Clouded with filth and negativity.
Forgive me if I’m speechless.
At least this speech won’t reach the streets.
But carefully, I carry this piece of mind.
So fragile and brittle.
This shant take but a little patience.
And after all this whining, I’m pining to find correct words to express what I’m thinking.
What the fuck am I thinking?
Absolutely nothing is the correct answer.
My head grows heavy.
I lose my nerves from these herbs I’ve been smoking.
After all, I’m not faking.
Taking in perfection one pill at a time.
I’m climbing mountains leading to nowhere.
Reaching the top, I look down and drown in visions.

Plastic praise to the plastic people. Pushing promise like a drug. Selling self-consciences in an affordable pill. Waste and ruin lay ahead on this “perfect” road to imaginary lifestyles. There are no Kings or Queens, nor righteous royalty. These castles with white picket moats and security system guards will all crumble. As will your precious empire built on lies, consumerism, and war. Cards of convenience are waved through the air like swords of power. Cutting dragons of coin down to scraps and sorrows. And we ride around in foreign made chariots, while costs of said transport could feed families from neighboring countries that spawned these fantasies on wheels.
So, plastic praise to the plastic people! These useless, ruthless, lifeless puppets dolled up in gold paved garments, and wondrous woven cloak. Pushing poverty on those less loved by the purebred dogs in the sinful kennel.

Yesterday was the Self-Titled video shoot. I am so fucking sunburnt. The day was poorly planned, and very annoying. But, we did an amazing job with what we had. So, YAY!

Self-Titled has spent the past week recording. True, we've been on a small break due to college... ...but since everyone is back for the summer, expect a follow up to Metro in the Fall.
